Beginning on February 4th, Delta Dining will be hosting Tasty Tuesday on the first Tuesday of every month in the Young-Mauldin Cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event invites both Delta State students and faculty as well as the general public to come and try potential new menu items and give feedback on the dishes. Those that attend become part of Delta Dining’s new Food Advisory Committee.
For the month of February, Delta Dining provided chicken and black bean quesadillas, bacon crunch burgers, and chicken cacciatore risotto. All three items tasted great, with my personal favorite being the chicken and black bean quesadilla.
Dining Manager Taliah Brown hopes that these monthly events will help show people that cafeteria food is much more than a simple slice of pizza or a hearty salad. Instead, Brown wants to bring elevated food to the public to provide a great place to meet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
For anyone who is interested in attending the next Tasty Tuesday, contact Taliah Brown at (662) 402-3870. The next event will be on March 3rd, beginning at 11 a.m. and concluding at 2 p.m. in the multipurpose room. For more information, contact Taliah Brown or check out the Delta Dining Facebook page. The events are free and open to anyone interested.
