Flood
It won’t stop raining
Rain beats against the tin roof
Sounds like it’s going to cave
It isn’t strong enough to hold
It will flood
The water keeps rising
Worry rushes over me
Soon it will come through the front door
I won’t be able to stop it
It will flood
Daddy always use to say
Everything is going to be ok
He would grab my face
“breathe”
Daddy isn’t here
It will flood.
