Surviving the Seasons

Have you ever lounged on the beach during a massive heat wave? What about ice-skating at your nearest park? Surely, you’ve walked outside and taken a deep breath of fresh cut grass? Every person had leapt into a pile of fallen leaves on the ground, so no judgment here!

But, what about the consequences of these actions? Have you ever thought about how the sun despises your skin, no matter your complexion? Or maybe, the sudden sniffles or frozen fingers have already harassed you?

No need to worry, this article is here to provide you with advice on how to stay healthy while also enjoying the seasons!

Seizing Spring

April showers bring May flowers, which invites spring allergies to the party! Your allergies are just around the corner waiting to attack. Allergy medication such as Claritin and Allegra-D will soothe sneeze attacks so smelling the roses can become more enjoyable. You can find these at your local drug store.

Flowers aren’t the only thing blooming in spring. Harsh weather is on the move with severe thunderstorms, so stock up on raincoats and umbrellas. Grab a couple of rainboots in case you fancy puddle hopping.

Slaying Summer

Whether it’s chilling in the pool or simply existing, using sunscreen is key. The sun’s rays are always out, but they’re harsher during summer. Using sunscreen prevents sunburn, wrinkles and skin cancer.

Is it hot in here, or is it just you? Nope, it’s definitely just hot! Make sure to keep the amount of clothes you wear to a minimum and wear light colors. It also wouldn’t hurt to consume at least 8 ounces of water to avoid dehydration. No fainting allowed at the barbeque!

Annihilating Autumn

Autumn’s unpredictability when it comes to weather can be frightening. There could be early snow or rain showers. It’s important to check your city’s weather forecast to ensure safety and comfort. You wouldn’t want your homecoming attire ruined by ugly weather, would you?

Leaves are an essential part of the season and are fun to play in. Unfortunately, they can cause trouble for both tidiness and allergies. Make sure to relieve yourself with allergy medication and rake up annoying leaves. If you want, you can even jump in the leaf pile you created!

Weakening Winter

What’s a holiday without snow? Although it’s fun, it’s extremely dangerous as well. Shoveling isn’t exciting, but it does prevent accidents. If you can, use techniques like tossing out salt onto ice covered surfaces to combat nature’s ice chips. This can also help with slipping on icy walkways. After checking off safety hazards, you can build your snowman in peace. Say hello to Olaf for me!

As opposed to its evil twin summer, winter is known for the harsh cold. Bundle up with the necessities such as coats, boots, hats and gloves. Frostbite is a major holiday buzzkill. Imagine showing up to Christmas dinner not being able to feast. That breaks my heart just thinking about it.

Now take this advice and tackle those seasons like the champ you are! Remember to have fun while doing so.
