IFC Fundraiser for Anna Claire Stokes
This past week, Feb. 22 -26, the Inner Fraternal Council (IFC) found a lot of Greek merchandise in the student life office and decided to put it to good use. The Greek merchandise found, belongs to the Kappa Sigma, Kappa Alpha, and Phi Mu Alpha organizations. The IFC wanted to put the proceeds from the table towards helping Anna Claire Stokes.
Stokes is a student her at Delta State; she was in a major car crash earlier this month resulting in her hospitalization. Reports about her crash state that she was rear-ended by someone going approximately 90 mph. This resulted in her being airlifted to the Med in Memphis and her fiancé being ejected from the car. Her fiancé is doing well, but Stokes remains in the hospital’s care.
As of Tuesday, the IFC Vice President Connor Taylor said they have raised “about $100 for Anna Claire.”
“We are also matching the money raised,” Taylor continued. “We are giving a minimum of $300, so if we get $200 we will still give $300 from IFC’s bank account, and we’re matching up to $500. If we raise $500 we will be giving $1000 total to [Claire].”
