AASC’s Spring Induction Ceremony
The African American Student Council hosted their spring induction ceremony on Feb. 24, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lena Roberts Chapel. “[The] induction ceremony is set to celebrate members and the collaborations with other organizations on campus ” said Symmbol Sanderlin, AASC’s publicist.
Judge Jaribu Hill was the speaker for the event and she stressed the importance of the new generation carrying the torch for the past generation of Civil Rights Activists and others that paved the way for African Americans today.
The AASC inducted 45 new members into their organization. Each member received a certificate, t-shirt, and signed a pledge.
